Our Mission

We are an organization governed and driven by academics, united in support for the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish and democratic state, and supporting peace in the Middle East and the legitimate and peaceful aspirations of all nations in the region. We strive to elevate the academic discourse on Canadian campuses surrounding Middle East issues and we welcome open, honest, and academically rigorous debate. We openly advocate against those who contravene academic principles through such actions as abuses of the academic podium and academic boycotts, and we oppose the chilling effect that such actions have on campus discourse surrounding the Middle East. We welcome scholars from all disciplines that share our commitment to academic freedom and integrity and to promoting civil and academically rigorous debate on issues related to the Middle East.
